2023-2024 KSED HOPE Award Nominations

We are once again very excited to open the nomination phase for this year’s HOPE (Helping Other People Excel) Award!  In 2020-2021, Kaskaskia Special Education #801 kicked off the inaugural HOPE Award, in which six local special education and support staff were acknowledged for the difference they make in their work with children receiving special education services.  This is a peer-nominated award that allows us to acknowledge those individuals in our midst who are going above and beyond in working with students with special needs.

A nominee must work within one of the thirty KSED #801 cooperative districts, including but not limited to (special education teacher, district support staff, School Psychologist, School Social Worker, Speech Pathologist, Vision Itinerant Teacher, Hearing Itinerant Teacher, Physical Therapist, Physical Therapy Assistant, Occupational Therapist, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, Transition Specialist, etc.)

Nominations may be submitted by district and/or cooperative staff members, and all nominations are due by December 1, 2023.

Nominations can be completed via a link found on the homepage of the KSED website.

Nominations will be received up until the end of the business day on Friday, December 1st., and will be examined by the Awards Committee.  Six total awards will be granted, with three cooperative county awards, as well as three KSED staff awards.  Award Recipients will be notified and acknowledged at the Tri-County Conference in February.
